Our Montauk Trip - 48 hours at the End Of The World.

Before all the hustle and bustle of Summer on Long Island, Team Sea Culture had a mini excursion to Montauk, NY, for our first on-location shoot featuring our Spring/Summer 2023 Collection. We enjoyed exploring this beautiful beach town before the residents arrived for the season. We had an opportunity to make new friends, eat some of the best seafood, and see breathtaking views.

Founder Dan Tagliamonte had always envisioned taking Sea Culture to Montauk, NY. Our Spring/Summer 2023 Collection was the perfect combination of resort wear and everyday pieces, and Montauk was the perfect backdrop to bring the clothing to life.

After spending months creating and designing this collection, seeing the pieces come together is always surreal. We had an opportunity to work with an amazing creative team. A combination of new and old friends who came along for the ride.

For a seamless and productive photoshoot, it takes an amazing team behind the scenes to make everything happen. We had the best creative team behind us, making our vision come to life.

The Crew

We owe so much to Mikey Detemple, who helped us with all the moving parts from afar. A resident of Montauk, he knew all the best locations, restaurants, and people Montauk has to offer. Mikey DeTemple is a filmmaker, photographer, and professional surfer. Mikey grew up on Long Island. Apple, GQ, Gap, Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, Dwell, Clinique, Don Julio Tequila, and Outerknown have used his photography.

Another key piece to the puzzle was Nina Korn, a long-time friend and talented videographer/photographer. Nina captured the behind-the-scenes moments and made our vision become a reality. Nina has a background in photography, videography, and graphic design. Nina's specialty is in the sports world; she is the Director of Marketing & Content for Flower City Union and Flower City 1872 Soccer Clubs in Rochester, NY.

And our new friend and model, Lee Meirowitz, for making all the clothing come to life. Lee graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor's Degree in Biology and earned his Masters' in Science Education at Stony Brook University.

Lee works as a tutor, a cook, a snowboard instructor, and a model. He is currently located in New England and is represented by WSM agency. Lee has been featured in

J. Crew, Outerknown, and Adam Mar, to name a few.

The Sights

Montauk did not disappoint with its breathtaking views. In between all the work, we got to take a moment to explore all Montauk had to offer. The fresh salty air and sandy beaches created the perfect getaway.
